Dear Readers,

Over the years I’ve listened to your praise and criticism for the Strawberry Mansion Trilogy, and I hope you enjoy this special collector’s edition. I’ve included discussion questions and snapshots of what was going on in my life while writing each book. Thank you for all of your continued support.

Strawberry Mansion: A Philadelphia Story

Tabitha Williams doubles as a punching bag every time her boyfriend drinks one too many. When she stabs him and flees to her mother’s house with her three-year-old daughter, she thinks it’s finally over. Unfortunately, the drama has just begun! “Will she find the courage to leave him for good? And will he let her?” Lisa Perkins is the “strong one,” or at least that’s what Tabitha and Shanice think. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. When she leaves her home after her mother refuses to believe that her stepfather has raped and impregnated her, she thinks that distance will solve everything. She finds that she couldn’t be more wrong. Shanice Thomas is giving teenage rebellion a whole new meaning. Her mother recently found Christ, and the party that was Shanice’s life is apparently over. Thrust into situations she isn’t equipped to handle, Shanice suddenly finds herself learning painful new lessons about the consequences of sleeping around.

Begonia Brown: A Philadelphia Story

Begonia's carefree world has been turned upside down. Forced to become the head of her household she has to trade her paintbrush in for a switchblade, and her love of art into a love affair with the hood. Lying, stealing, and turning tricks, Begonia will do any and everything she can to protect her sisters from the ugliness of the world. However, it just isn't enough... When her younger sister Violet, desperate to escape the hell her life has become is seduced by an up and coming Corner boy, and their baby sister Daisy is riddled with disease that could be fatal if not cared for, Begonia is caught between the hard knocks of the streets and the nightmare of her home life. From the critically acclaimed author of Strawberry Mansion comes the tale of Begonia Brown. Raised in the unforgiving streets of North Philadelphia, Begonia Brown is undoubtedly a product of her environment, young, ruthless, and criminally minded.

Violet: Strawberry Mansion 3

Violet Brown is about to get a crash course in the penalties of the drug trade. Busted attempting to cross state lines with five kilos of Columbia’s finest, she finds herself facing a twenty-four year prison sentence, pregnant and alone. Find out what happens to Violet when the bars close on one of the most vicious correctional facilities in the state, and Begonia and her girls rip the city up to set things right.

Strawberry Mansion is my first book and it's semi autobiographical. I am Tabitha in the story. I started writing this book when I was 16 and published it 3 days before my 31st birthday in 2008. Although it was a very hard story to write, I'm glad I did.

Begonia Brown is one of my favorite characters. This book was hard as shit to write, but I friggen love it. I was up to a pack of smokes a day penning this rough ride, and I'm sure you will enjoy it

Violet story begins a couple of years after Begonia's end. All of the characters come back to play a key role in this book (that was not easy at all!) In this book I flirt with concepts from the darker side of life. I had to do a lot of research for this book.
